The Meaning of True Love

I thought of posting this on Valentines Day however, I decided not to because I felt this is somewhat heavy on the heart. This is tragic but very touching story. We can learn a lot from this.

This reminds me of a good friend who for a long time hated her mother so much not because of her physical defect but because of her job abroad. The good thing is that my friend and his mother are now okay. (more…)

The Beauty and The Blog

Just few weeks ago, I came across the blog of Juliet called Beautynomics-The economics of vanity. According to her, “She is An economics graduate that always hated her math but loved her theories. Believes that Economics can be found in the bathroom, in front of your vanity mirror, and in every place beautiful.

True to what she is saying, economics could be explained in terms relative to her vanity and beauty (needs). (more…)

Today, February 14th

It’s already 00:01 am here. The date is February 14, 2006, the day we call Valentines Day. Whatever this day’s worth to lovers everywhere, I am sure they will celebrate this occasion with gusto.

As for me, well, it’s just a normal day ever since I arrived in this country. I am alone. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, somehow it makes me remember what this day is about.

Para naman di nyo masabi na kj ako, I am sharing with you one of my favorite songs which I recorded years ago when I can still sing. A blogger friend heard my version. I don’t know kung nagustuhan nya at naintindihan ang version ko. Ito ang lyrics.

I’ll be by Edwin McCain [Listen]

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I’ll be captivated
I’ll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Chorus
I’ll be your crying shoulder
I’ll be love suicide
I’ll be better when Im older
I’ll be the greatest fan of your life

Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You”re my survival, you”re my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I’ll be captivated Ill hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above

Repeat Chorus
I’ve been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said

Repeat Chorus

This song is in these albums: Misguided Roses , Messenger
