Investing in pennies, million dollar return

February 9, 2006

The sheer volume of traded shares did it. People made millions from a penny stock called Universal Express (USXP.OB), a package delivery firm that topped the Over the Counter Bulletin Board’’s most active list for Feb. 2.

The statistics from Barchart.com show share volume for Universal Express exceeded 1.6 billion shares traded. There are no covering analysts or recommendation data available for this company.

This reminds me of the dotcom boom when many unknown companies suddenly hit the market with a bang. Investors just take the plunge without knowing what they are going into. All they know is that they’ll make money. That’’s it.

Investing in this type of stock (USXP.OB) is a typical hit or miss approach; either you make money or you don’t. Those who burned their hands and fingers when the dotcom bubble burst knew well how it was like.

Lately, I have noticed that there are other similar stocks that some investors find interesting with expectations that they will do an USXP.OB. Here are the stocks trading symbols: CNES.OB, RNKE.OB, ADOT.OB.

I don’t recommend going into these types of stock as they might become worthless anytime. However, if you have the urge to gamble and take your chances, buy in big quantity, say in fifty or hundred million shares so when there is an upward price movement you’ll earn big. IF there is a price increase, sell them immediately. Don’t be over-optimistic (greedy) expecting that there will be more upward moves.

The big profits in stock go to the intelligent investor who seeks out new companies with huge potential for growth, and he buys when the prices are low – the lower the better. Too many investors wait until a new company’s stock price goes up, then buy because they think they’re getting in on a sure thing, but by now the really big profits have passed them by. Too many people do their investment thinking “if it can be called that” with their emotions rather than their heads. – - The late billionaire J. P. Getty

Good Luck.

Disclaimer: This is for information purposes only. If in any case, you get excited and buy those stocks and in the process, you earned millions of money, thanks God, you are lucky. On the other hand, if it turned to be a big blunder of your life, then consider it as the most expensive experience you ever have. All because you are …… and, it is your entire fault. After all, I never receive any fees or monetary considerations from any one of you.
